The National Convention Centre Canberra has undergone a $5.4 million refurbishment. The seating in our Theatres will be completed in 2017 and is the final component of our transformation.
Conference delegates are enjoying the makeover of our foyer, which includes new furniture, carpet, signage, a refurbished reception area, improved conference office and cloak room.
We have worked with a range of innovative and reputable local companies on our refurbishment. Philip Leeson Architects, with its multidisciplinary team, managed the architectural design. Monarch Building Solutions is spearheading implementation with its commitment to high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Canberra Floorcraft is also on the job. Timber, including blackbutt and ash, was sourced from Thor’s Hammer, a joinery, sawmill and recycled timber yard based at The Brickworks art and designer hub.
