Logistics

The National Convention Centre wants your equipment to move easily, both to and from the Centre

Knowing this, guidelines have been developed ensuring an easy and secure process for you and your contractors.

Deliveries

The National Convention Centre cannot accept responsibility for the security of any items delivered in the absence of the exhibitor or the event organiser:

  • All goods sent to the National Convention Centre should be addressed with the specified delivery label provided by your event coordinator.
  • Arrangements should be made for goods to arrive on the pack-in day, or the first working day prior to the pack-in day. Goods may be stored up to one working day before the event.
  • Please arrange for deliveries from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and 12:30pm to 4:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). The centre cannot accept deliveries outside of these hours.

Contractor Information

The National Convention Centre wants all employees, guests and contractors to use the Centre in a safe manner.

It is the responsibility of all contractors working on-site to observe the requirements of the Work Safety Act 2008, OHS Act 180001 and associated Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.

Prior to commencement of work, all contractors are required to provide the National Convention Centre with the following documentation:

Safe Work Method Statements

  • Contractor Qualifications – Licenses/Certificates/Registration
  • Workers Compensation/Employer’s Liability
  • Comprehensive Public Liability
  • Upon arrival all contractors must sign in with the Banquets team or the Engineering team.

    On completion of work, contractors must sign out and return their passes to the Banquets or Engineering Team.
