SPICE Program

The National Convention Centre supports SPICE by providing work experience for students (12-15 years old) who are at risk of dropping out of school before completing Year 10. The aim of SPICE is to encourage students to continue their formal schooling until they have attained their Year 10 – Certificate.

The SPICE program assists students to:

  • Gain workplace knowledge and friendships
  • Develop new skills
  • Increase their confidence and self esteem
  • Reconnect with their communities

The National Convention Centre Canberra is the largest purpose-built conference venue and event venue in the ACT. The Centre offers conference facilities, exhibition halls and function rooms making it the perfect concert venue and wedding reception venue.
