Event ManagerDiann CastrissiosDiann started her career with InterContinental Hotels Group in 1997. During this time Diann has worked in the Banquet Department at both the National Convention Centre and the Centre’s sister property, Crowne Plaza Canberra. She moved back to the Centre in 2000 where she found her passion for event management. Diann’s vast experience in managing key events include the high profile visit, A conversation with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Happiness, Life and Living – Love and Forgiveness; The Australian Squash Open where the world’s best squash players compete and the annual National General Assembly of Local Government. Diann was rewarded for her contribution to InterContinental Hotels Group with the Manager of the Year award in 2010. Outside of work she loves to travel, particularly overseas, and spending time with family and friends. |

Senior Event CoordinatorKira GranthamKira has rejoined the team at the NCC taking on the role of Senior Event Coordinator. She previously worked at the National Convention Centre from 2004 to 2007 prior to its refurbishment. Over the past three years, Kira has worked as the Promotions & Bookings Manager at Warrambui Retreat and Conference Centre. Kira has a Bachelor Degree in Tourism Management and Public Relations from the University of Canberra, where her passion for event management came to the forefront. Her passions lie in people, music and food, and when all three are combined – even better! |

Event CoordinatorSusi RadburnSusi joins the Events Team at the National Convention Centre after working at its sister property Crowne Plaza Canberra, as a Meetings Coordinator. Susi’s connection with the Centre extends back to 2010, when she won an internship and assisted in the drafting of the winning submission in the category of Meetings & Business Tourism, at the 2010 Canberra & Capital Region Tourism Awards. During her studies at the University of Canberra studying a Bachelor of Tourism, majoring in Event Management, Susi was the winner of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tourism & Industry Award 2010’. Susi’s passions include great food and wine and travel whenever possible. |

Event CoordinatorSalindra RasmySalindra began her career as an intern for the 2008 Tooheys New Autumn Carnival, Australian Jockey Club, Royal Randwick, Sydney. Salindra has a background in the events and conference industries with four years of experience providing event management and coordination services to private and public sector organisations. Salindra enjoys seeing all her events from start to finish and being able to manage different types of events. She successfully completed her Bachelor Degree in Tourism Management at the University of Canberra. While completing her degree she worked for a PCO as the events coordinator. Her passions include exploring different cultures, dancing and trying new foods |

Events AdministratorAllanah BannisterAllanah began her career as a Banquets Attendant at the National Convention Centre in 2010. In 2011, Allanah moved to the Banquets Department of Parliament House Catering by IHG where she worked on high-profile State visits, which included receptions for the Queen of England, the President of America and the Dutch Royals. Allanah brings to the team, her knowledge of the operational side of events as well as an ongoing commitment to customers. Allanah successfully completed her Associate Degree in Business and Event Management at the International College of Management, Sydney. Her passions include running, baking and drawing. |

Reception SupervisorKatie KnightKatie has been working at the National Convention Centre as Reception Team Leader for the past two years, being promoted to Reception Supervisor in 2011. Katie has been the champion of the Orphanage Appeal, one of the Convention Centre’s community involvement programs, where surplus conference goods are donated to orphanages and schools in South East Asia. Managing the main reception desk and telephone switchboard of the National Convention Centre, Katie is the communication hub, and is always ready to assist in anyway she can. In her spare time Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. |
