Event ManagerMary NyamMary joins the National Convention Centre from another InterContinental Hotels Group property-Dubai Festival City, where she was Senior Event Manager for four years managing events over four properties. Before moving to Dubai, Mary spent 8 years in the Middle East in Sudan, Qatar and the UAE. Mary originates from Malaysia and started her career in Housekeeping before moving into the Events department. Mary has extensive experience in planning events and is passionate about managing all stages to ensure a successful event. In her spare time, Mary enjoys cooking, travelling and collecting vintage and special edition Barbie dolls, with 40 dolls currently in her collection! |

Senior Event CoordinatorKira GranthamKira has rejoined the team at the National Convention Centre taking on the role of Senior Event Coordinator. She previously worked at the National Convention Centre from 2004 to 2007 prior to its refurbishment. Prior to rejoining the National Convention Centre, Kira worked as the Promotions and Bookings Manager at Warrambui Retreat and Conference Centre. Kira has a Bachelor Degree in Tourism Management and Public Relations from the University of Canberra, where her passion for event management came to the forefront. Her passions lie in people, music and food, and when all three are combined – even better! |

Event CoordinatorSalindra RasmySalindra began her career as an intern for the 2008 Tooheys New Autumn Carnival, Australian Jockey Club, Royal Randwick, Sydney. Salindra has a background in the events and conference industries with four years of experience providing event management and coordination services to private and public sector organisations. Salindra enjoys seeing all her events from start to finish and being able to manage different types of events. She successfully completed her Bachelor Degree in Tourism Management at the University of Canberra. While completing her degree she worked for a PCO as the Events Coordinator. Her passions include exploring different cultures, dancing and trying new foods |

Event CoordinatorAngela MartinAngela began her hospitality career in 2009 working for the Constellation Hotel Group as a Food and Beverage Supervisor in Brisbane while she was completing a Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management at Griffith University, Queensland. During this time Angela gained a solid understanding of hotel operations including banquets and events. Angela has recently relocated to Canberra where she joins the National Convention Centre from Silverneedle Hospitality as a Function Sales Coordinator. Over the years Angela has developed a passion for the hospitality industry and more specifically event coordination. In her spare time she enjoys travelling around the world , exploring new cultures and new foods as well as spending time with her family and friends. |

Events AdministratorKatie LittleKatie joined the team at the National Convention Centre in 2009, in the position of Reception Team Leader and was promoted to Reception Supervisor in 2011. Katie is always on the look out for new and exciting challenges, and enjoys assisting the Events Team with coordinating internal events, client entertainment and famils. In her spare time Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. |

ReceptionistJacky WongJacky has been working in the hospitality industry for seven years, and joined the National Convention Centre in 2009 as a casual Banquet Attendant, becoming a Team Leader in 2011. Jacky has long shown an interest in Reception and began cross training in the department in 2011. Managing the main reception desk and telephone switchboard of the National Convention Centre, Jacky is the Centre’s communication hub, and is always ready to assist in anyway he can. In his spare time Jacky enjoys playing mini golf, though much of his spare time these days is spent with his daughter Charlotte. |
