Situated on around 7 hectares of land just five minutes from the centre of Canberra the National Zoo and Aquarium is Australia’s only combined zoo and aquarium. With a wide variety of both native and exotic animals, as well as the largest inland saltwater tank in Australia, there is something for everyone.

The National Zoo and Aquarium provides visitors with an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the worlds most amazing creatures. Treat yourself to one of the zoo’s interactive tours, including Meet a Cheetah, Walk on the Wild Side and ZooVenture. The Zoo has several areas within the grounds that can cater for anything from a simple picnic or BBQ, through to an exclusive balcony that allows guests to wine and dine whilst being surrounded by some of the zoo’s largest and most breathtaking animals.
