Michelle has recently joined us from New Zealand where she was working in convention and event industry for the past ten years. Michelle’s event experience includes banquet/corporate dinners, conferences and exhibitions in convention centres and off site catering venues. Michelle’s career also includes developing systems and processes for labour management in convention/event and restaurant venues.

Cherie has an intensive knowledge of banquets. She graduated from the InterContinental Hotel School with an associate degree in Hotel Management. Before commencing work with the National Convention Centre in 2008, Cherie worked at the 5 star resort on Hayman Island followed by The Sebel Parramatta. Prior to this Cherie worked at Acer Arena in both events and Banquets. Cherie is dedicated to making your event a success.

Sophie joins the National Convention Centre team after working at another property in the IHG family, Crown Plaza Hunter Valley. Sophie was based there for the last 3 and a half years across all Food and Beverage outlets after graduating from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort management in 2008. As the Assistant Banquet Service Manager, Sophie brings passion and commitment to both the National Convention Centre’s team and your event.

Ringo has been a pivotal part of the National Convention Centre team for over 10 years.
In his role as Client Services Manager, Ringo is the onsite liaison between event organisers and the Convention Centre operational team; working closely with organisers to ensure each aspect of an event unfolds according to plan and that last minute requirements or changes are fulfilled. Ringo is particularly involved in functions that require a higher degree of sensitivity or protocol.
With a passion and flair for visual displays, Ringo consistently ensures no two events are identical and enjoys sharing his extensive banquet knowledge with staff. An expert at matching specific function themes and banquets presentation, Ringo’s touch adds a unique personality to each event.
Ringo has a passion for travelling, especially to Hong Kong, and loves to relax with a game of badminton, chess or a movie.
